What I believe is that e-cigs have gained much popularity around the world and soon will gain more. FDA is trying harder to stop the every possible thing that has the power to save lives. FDA forgot the reason of its existence; all what’s important in the eye of FDA is money.
I quitted smoking because I have my jasper and jasper e-cig. What if e-cigs are banned? I will shift back to paper cig and soon I’ll die. That’s what FDA is up to.

The final statement in this articles needs to be addressed.

“That is exactly what the FDA is prepared to do, on the grounds that e-cigarettes are obviously designed to help smokers quit, which is a recognized medical use and therefore renders these products subject to FDA rules about the testing and approval of new drugs.”

There is no proof that e-cigs are designed to help people quit. They are and have been sold ONLY as an alternative to smoking. Once again the FDA needs to get its facts straight. If they help people quit then GREAT but I like my NIC FIX and I am going to continue to use my e-cig.

I have been a smoker for fourteen years. I enjoy smoking. I like those moments where I can just relax with my thoughts. E-cigs have made it possible for me to still enjoy those moments without all the harm from the normal tabacco cigs which have all those chemicals. Having used e-cigs for the past 2months, I know I smoke less than I previously did. Now I don’t have to wait until I have smoked a whole cig before I go back to my activities (I paid for it, I’m going to smoke it theory). I just satisfy my initial craving and quickly return to work or whatever activity I was doing. I don’t have to check to see how many cigs I have left and if I have money for a new pack. I guess if I had to simplify what Vapure and e-cigs have done for me I would say, “They have giving me the best oppuritunity to date, to take control over a habit that has pleagued me and my family (second hand smoke) for 14 long years.
“Tabacco controlled my life. It told me when to wake up, when to take a break, when I should be frustrate, stressed, or angry. It dictated what and how much I could spend at the store (Do I have enough left for a pack of cigs?) It determined where I went, girls who I could date, jobs I could take (try getting health or life insurance as a self employed smoker). Unfortunatly, not every one is going to stop with or without help. I am only one case in the millions of smokers in the USA but I think every opprutunity that can be provided for a smoker to stop smoking should be considered. Whether it be the nicotine patch, nicotine gum, or nicotine cigs, hypnosis, motivational speaking, group meetings, etc. Smokers don’t quit overnight. Even those who say they quit cold turkey will tell you, “I tried/wanted to quit for years, and finally I quit”
